What this site collects

• No accounts, no advertising trackers and no cookies are set by this site.
• If you pick a state or region, that choice is saved in your own browser (local storage) so the page remembers it. It is not sent to us except as part of the request for that region's news.

News from other websites

Headlines come from publishers' public feeds. Clicking one takes you to the publisher's site, where their own privacy policy applies. Story images are loaded from the publisher's servers, which can see your IP address when they load.

Links we send you

If you receive email from Your Payday Benefit, the links in it lead to this site or to publishers' stories. Links in our emails may carry an identifier that tells us the link was clicked. We use it to learn which stories readers want and to stop emailing people who no longer read our messages. We do not sell or rent your email address.

The news tab you last chose is remembered in your own browser (local storage) and is not sent to us. Links in our guides go to government agencies and the nonprofits named in each guide, whose own privacy policies apply.
